Drawing is something that either comes to me all at once or not at all. Every line makes a difference, and I can’t draw well unless I’m moved by what I see or feel. I often draw when I travel – I like to visually capture what I’m experiencing and learning along the way. Sketching is my preferred medium because it’s easy to do on the go and keeps my process spontaneous. This year, I challenged myself to draw portraits for people’s birthdays as a way to keep my hands dextrous, even when I am not inspired.
